Oroquieta City - “Your office is within reach by my office; don’t hesitate to ask for support, rest assured my administration will definitely support your cause in one way or another,” Said Governor Hermie Ramiro during the Philippine Red Cross Blood Donation Month 2010 culminating and awarding ceremonies held at the Provincial Capitol function Hall this week.
Lady Governor Herminia Ramiro was the guest speaker of this year’s PRC Blood Donation Month 2010 culminating and awarding activity of the Misamis Occidental-Oroquieta Chapter headed by its Chairman, Henry Y. Regalado Sr. former governor of Misamis Occidental and former assemblyman of the province.
In her response to the message of Chairman Regalado that cited the problems and needs of the chapter organization especially on its donations in order to help and donate blood to the needy, she assures the chapter of her heartfelt support.
In the said culmination, Chairman Regalado cited problems and needs of the Philippine Red Cross local chapter, whose accepted donations came from people with kind heart, no support from the local government, and blood donors are minimal to sustain its operations, especially blood support to emergencies and the needy.
“We always need counterparts in blood donations, this chapter faces problem to the extent of looking for the P613 per liter of blood counterpart to every donations, and which is we hope that this new administration will consider our cause.” Regalado pointed out.
Blood Donation Month is a yearly activity of the Philippine Red Cross nationwide to cope up donations be it in cash or blood donations to sustain it cause, every July 1-31, PRC will always celebrate and thank those blood donors.
This year with its theme; “Young Donor; New Blood for the World” the Department of Education, Oroquieta City Division and the Misamis Occidental Division coordinated with the local chapter to augment and find means to reach its quota and sustain blood donation to the needy.
