1.9M Bridge Inaugurated

Tuyabang proper, Oroquieta City- The City leadership under City Mayor Jason Paredes Almonte recently inaguarated the newly constructed bridges funded thru the city 20% development fund in the rate of 1.9M as approved by the former administration.

As Team One Orokita, has promised to continue project accumulation and development for the progress of the city, this project will benefit the people of Barangay Tuyabang Proper who had been dreaming of a good and safe bridges for its barangay folks.

Constructed by a private construction company, owned and managed by Mr. Philip Tan of the Philip Construction of Oroquieta Corporation, the 1.9 M bridges is now operational and ready to be used by road user and people of Tuyabang Proper.

The said project under a 150 days completion contract was said to have been finished within 70 days of work.

“It is a 15-tonner bridge that can be used already by our constituents, it is safe and concrete, and I thank the city government for its recognizing my company to be a responsible and good construction company” Tan said.

Meantime in its inauguration and acceptance, City Mayor Jason P. Almonte in his message said that with the new bridge, Tuyabang Proper will now be safe, especially for its people who use the bridge especially bringing their agricultural products to our markets.

It may be recalled that during the past years, the ordinary bridge found in Punta, Purok 1, Tuyabang proper had been always a problem especially to MC drivers, Nine accidents has been reported, that’s the reason why Barangay Chairman Ronald Bari to ask help from the city government of the former City Mayor Jorge T. Almonte now representing as Congressman of the 1st District to accommodate its request.

“With the former City Mayor’s help and approval, we have now a new safe and concrete bridge for Tuyabang Proper and our barangay folks” Bari said.
