SNNHS Batch ’72 got 2 Awards

Surigao City – Two distinguished members of Batch ’72 of the prestigious Surigao Norte National High School received the Most Outstanding Alumni award together with other 22 awardees during the 2010 Grand Alumni Homecoming last September 11, at the provincial Convention Center in the capitol grounds.

Ms. Nena Macalolot-Schleicher, a registered nurse now based in US and Mr. Abelardo B. Siao, a member of the MetroBank Family in NCR belongs to Class of 1972 of SNNHS. Like other awardees of the recently concluded Grand Alumni Homecoming the two has gave the batch honors.

With this year’s theme, “Uphold SNNHSian Spirit…Soar High Towards Solidarity and Success” is timely for every alumnus, as they prove themselves to the new graduates that education is always the solution.

Meanwhile , Batch 72 is now under its new officers as they were elected during the batch gathering at Gateway Hotel after the morning motorcade has committed themselves to promote more camaraderie with the batch mates and supports the newly elected officers of SAFI (SNNHS Alumni Foundation Inc.)

In the gathering last September 11 at Mabua beach the Batch 72 attendees share moments of joy and experiences as they remember the good old days, dubbed as the FQS (First Quarter Storm) of the infamous Marcos Martial law days, batch 72 had proved the way that martial law can never stop them to become more nationalistic and promote goodwill thru its years of survival, economically, socially, and professionally.

Batch 72 as these years passed by, hopes for a better Surigao and with the new political leadership of Governor Sol Matugas and City Mayor Nitoy Matugas, Surigao City will be the education center of excellence of the Caraga Region.

With the SNNHS Surigaonons will surely soar high towards solidarity and success.
