Zamboanga City - THE Philippine National Police (PNP) has reshuffled its key personnel assigned at the Zamboanga Peninsula Police Office (ZPPO), an official said.
ZPPO information officer Bayani Gucela said the reshuffle was in line with a letter of instruction, which took effect June 28, issued by the national headquarters in Camp Crame.
Gucela said the changes involved the designation of two provincial directors and that of a battalion official.
ZPPO covers the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), 9th Regional Public Safety and Management Battalion (RPSMB-9), Zamboanga del Norte Police Office (ZDNPO), Zamboanga Sibugay Police Office (ZSPO), and Zamboanga del Sur Police Office (ZDSPO).
Gucela said Senior Superintendent Reuben Carriaga was relieved as the chief of the RPSMB-9 and was reassigned as the new ZSPO chief replacing Senior Superintendent Federico Castro.
Gucela said Castro was reassigned to another police command.
He added Senior Superintendent James Mejia was designated as the new chief of the ZDNPO replacing Senior Superintendent Cristeto Rey Gonzalodo, who was designated as chief of RPSMB-9.
Gucela is concurrently designated as the chief of intelligence of the ZPPO.
