Oroquieta City,MisOC- A free medication and dental mission was conducted by the Misamisnon USA Doctors in association with the Philippine Medical Association Oroquieta Chapter, Philippine Dental association, SM-Lao Emergency Hospital-Ozamis City, and the LGU ( Local Government ) City Health for the people particularly the indigenous people in Oroquieta City at the City GYM last July 13, 2010 at exactly 8 0’clock in the morning. 
A target of 1,000 patients were given free medication and dental checkup and were given medicines in coordination also with the local pharmacies in Oroquieta City.
City Health Doctor Blanche B. Flores in an interview said, that despite of the free medication and dental checkup that were given, basically the purpose of its medical and dental mission is to give health care for people to prevent the rampant spread of the chronic disease like heart attack and some basic sickness that we basically encounter like hypertension, diabetes, and dengue.
The free health mission, also conducted a free circumcision that had a great help for those who have not been circumcised.
City Mayor Jason Paredes Almonte, supported this mission and was very proud to coordinate with those Misamisnon Physicians in the United States Of America and with our local Doctors also who have proposed and offered this mission in particular, that will give recognition to his administration throughout the coming years.
Said Medical and Dental Mission is also supported by the Office of the Representative, 1st District, Province of Misamis Occidental, Congressman Jorge Taghap Almonte.
