Robbers took undetermined cash: BDO Bank Heist

Pagadian Ciy - Police are now conducting a manhunt operation against five robbers, including a woman, who snatched a still undetermined amount of cash from an armored van parked in front of a bank in Pagadian City Monday morning.

Initial reports showed that at 9:45 a.m., the armored van personnel were unloading the cash to be deposited at the (BDO) Banco de Oro branch located along Pajares Avenue when one of the robbers suddenly grabbed a box containing the money from one of the security guards.

The bank’s security personnel fired at the robbers who escaped onboard two motorcycles.

Police believed one of the robbers was wounded because of the blood stains in the area.

In a latest police report received, Pagadian’s Finest COP P/CI Michael Palermo together with the NBI and BM Ernesto Mondarte who joined the manhunt collared and arrested 2 suspects after a shootout near a boarding house in Purok Bliss, Lenienza this city.

Still name withheld, the two were wounded according to the report. The arrest came after the police and the NBI hot pursuit the suspects and catch up with them in the said boarding house near the Regional Office of the Department of Agriculture.

The authorities are still pursuing other robbers who took part and get-away after the incident.
