Oroquieta City – The Department of Health- Center for Health Development in Northern Mindanao recently awarded the city thru its City Heath Office under Dr. Blanche Flores in recognition of the office unwavering support and commitment in promoting Environmental Sanitation Program and Family Planning inpromoting and improving service delivery to the people of this Misamis Occidental capital city.
Said recognition was given in Camiguin last June 10, 2010 by DOH Regional Director Jaime Bernadas,MD.MGM.CEO IV and was received by the City Health Officer. With the awards, City Mayor Jorge Almonte said that with the City Health Office programs and advocacie, Oroquieta is once again proud of what the office had done for the people of Oroquieta expecially those who needs help from the Health department of the City of Good Life.
It may be recalled that the City Health Office got a +68 percent approval in a pulse survey conducted by USAID in its program on health services and awarded as one of the champion in Health Services.
