Ozamiz LTO Chief shot dead

Ozamiz City – The Ozamiz City Police Office is now investigating the killing of a Land Transportation Office Chief assigned in the city that was killed , last June 8, while the victim was preparing for Tennis play at the City Engineers Compound.

In the police report, LTO Officer II Dimatipos Banggan y Muli, 57 years old, a residence of Turtle Island, Tinago, this city while preparing for a tennis match at the City Engineers Compound June 8, 2011, two suspects end his life with a caliber 45 pistol and walks casually towards their gate-away vehicle a Yamaha Single MC color Black with Plate Number 9042.

Accordingly, one of the suspects armed with a caliber .45 pistol approach the victim casually and pump three bullets as three empty spent shells were found in the crime scene, hitting the victim on his breast portion and arm that causes instantaneous death and immediately left with a companion waiting as back up and accomplice in their gate away vehicle and sped away towards an undisclosed place.

P/SSupt Gervacio Balmaceda, Ozamiz City PNP Chief immediately dispatches his investigating and intelligence team to look for possible angles and probable cause of the killing of the LTO Officer and cause the arrest of the suspects.

It may be recalled that this is not the first time that said government agency encountered problems concerning their employee’s attitudes in the work and influence of which some of them were killed, be it personal or work related issues or family trouble like “Rido” where in the victim was a Maranao.

Meanwhile, P/SSupt Robert Quenery, PESE Provincial Director of Misamis Occidental PNP Provincial Office has ordered his intelligence and investigation units to help the Ozamiz City PNP Police Office in the investigation and file criminal case against the two suspects who are now at large.
